30,000 pilgrims visited Neelkanth Mahadev Temple on Savan month’s first monday
Monday is considered very good day to visit Shiva Temple and if it is in the holy month of Savan than it creates great enthusiasm among the Lord Shiva devotees to visit Shiva Temple. Neelkanth Mahadev being a well known temple in the area is widely visited in whole Savan month. Many people who visit Haridwar Rishikesh during Kanwar Mela prefer to visit Neelkanth Mahadev also. 10th July 2017 was first monday in Holy month of Savan so more than 30,000 pilgrims reached the temple. Huge waiting line was there and people waited for more than 2 hrs to get “Darshan” of Lord Shiva. Car parking was also one of the major concern as the temple has limited space near by for parking so some of the pilgrims need to park vehicle 1.5 kms far from temple. 18th july is again the similar or more crowd is expected.
